The Industry-Academia Leadership Academy, jointly

Consortium, Digital Consortium, and Risk Society Consortium, was held from
Monday, January 6, to Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Jeonju University and the

Global Symbiosis Consortium in the joint fusion camp of four consortia (20
universities)
In the first phase, on-site lectures covered
various topics such as regional development, the content industry, AI, and the
media industry, emphasizing the connection between industry and academia. The
online lectures that followed focused on exploring global symbiosis in a
digitally-driven risk society, offering valuable insights into building a
sustainable future amidst the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
In addition, participants formed teams to explore
the Hanok Village, where they freely toured the area, took photos, and created
lasting memories during the architectural exploration activity. After the
exploration, a small competition was held featuring the photos taken during the
activity. Outstanding entries were selected, and prizes were awarded, adding an
extra layer of excitement and energy to the event. Additionally, participants
had the meaningful experience of staying in traditional Hanok accommodations,
allowing them to immerse themselves in the beauty of Korean traditional
architecture and gain firsthand insight into life in a traditional house. Park
Hyun-jun, a student from the School of Information Convergence who participated
in the academy, shared his thoughts: "This Leadership Academy was a
valuable opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of how academia and
industry can work together to create social value. I was particularly impressed
by the various activities that bridged tradition and modernity, allowing me to
experience a new sense of connection with the local community."

ideas, with outstanding entries honored and celebrated at the awards ceremony.
Professor Kim So-young from the Department of
Korean Language and Literature, who led the event on behalf of the HUSS Project
Group, stated, "This Industry-Academia Leadership Academy provided
students with a strong foundation for developing into global leaders by
experiencing the integration of local communities, industries, and academia. It
also offered a meaningful opportunity to appreciate the harmonious blend of
tradition and innovation." "Above all, its significance lies in being
a joint curriculum program that brings together the combined strengths of the
four HUSS consortia," she added.
