Kwangwoon University's College of Veritas et Lux Talents Development (Dean Kim Sung-Gil) will host the “Local-University Cooperation Lifelong Learning Forum” on Thursday, January 9, 2025, in the Grand Auditorium on the 4th floor of the 80th Anniversary Memorial Hall at Kwangwoon University. This forum, under the theme "The Nth Era! Connection and Expansion to the World," has been organized to explore new possibilities for lifelong learning through collaboration between local communities and universities.

The forum, supported by various lifelong education-related organizations such as the Seoul Lifelong Education Institute, Korea Community Education Foundation, Future Planet Foundation, Korea Association for Lifelong Educator, Korea Society of Future Education Study, and Adult and Continuing Education of Korea, will feature a keynote speech by Choi Un-Sil, the second director of the National Institute for Lifelong Education. The program will also include presentations and discussions on topics such as "AI Era: Future Industries and the World of Work" (Professor Jo Soo-Young, Kwangwoon University), "Lifelong Education Case Studies in Regional Cooperation" (Cho Nam-Eok, Director of Seongbuk Youth Center), and "An Invitation to the N-Job Lifestyle" (Yang Jin-Young, operator of the Naver cafe “Fun and Functional Workers”).

 

Dean Kim Sung-Gil stated, "At the dawn of the new year, I hope this forum highlights the importance of lifelong learning through collaboration between local communities and universities amid rapidly changing times, while also providing a platform for experts across various fields and generations to communicate and share experiences."
