Researchers Hoseong Lee and Juncheol Lee, both master's students in the Department of Electronics & Communications Engineering at Kwangwoon University, have been selected for the 2024 Second Master's Research Grant Program.
Hoseong Lee was selected for the program with his research proposal on in-memory computing design, which aims to improve the accuracy, speed, and power efficiency of AI computations. Juncheol Lee was chosen for his research on low-power interface design for next-generation LPDDR memory. Both researchers are currently pursuing their master's degrees in the laboratory of Professor Joohyung Chae (Department of Electronics & Communications Engineering).
The Master's Research Grant Program, funded by the National Research Foundation of Korea, supports creative and challenging ideas related to thesis research by master's students. The program is part of a broader initiative to support the next generation of researchers in science and engineering fields by offering various research opportunities to full-time master's students enrolled in domestic graduate school programs.
