Hak-soo Yoon, an alumnus of Kwangwoon University's Graduate School of Construction Legal Affairs (9th class), has been elected as the 13th Chairperson of the Korea Specialty Contractors Association.

The Korea Specialty Contractors Association announced that during the second special general meeting for the 2024 fiscal year held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, Hak-soo Yoon, the current president of Jangpyeong Construction and chairperson of the Central Association, was elected as the 13th chairperson. His term will run from November 1, 2024, to October 31, 2027, for a total of three years.

Yoon has been credited with protecting the pride of the specialty construction industry through notable achievements, such as expanding and extending protected areas for specialized work, normalizing defect responsibility for construction companies, and eradicating illegal activities at construction sites.

In his acceptance speech, Chairperson Yoon expressed, "Drawing on my experience and past successes, I will swiftly deliver results by realigning our business strategies to tackle key challenges, including the imbalance in the construction industry's production structure and the Serious Accident Punishment Act. My full commitment will be devoted to opening a new chapter for specialty construction, with an unwavering focus on our member companies."

The Korea Specialty Contractors Association is a construction industry organization established for the protection of the rights and interests of specialty contractors and the improvement of construction-related systems. It is a legal entity established under Article 50 of the Framework Act on the Construction Industry in South Korea.
