Professor Jang Min's (Environmental Engineering) Research Team Develops Photocatalyst Capable of Simultaneously Producing Hydrogen Peroxide and Formic Acid Efficiently

Professor Jang Min's research team from the Environmental Engineering Department at Kwangwoon University, including postdoctoral researcher Dr. Geon-Deok Hwang (first author), research professor Dr. Cho-Eun Jong (co-author), and Professor Eun-Ha Choi (Director of Plasma Bioscience Research Center (PBRC) and Professor of Electronic Biophysics, co-author), has developed a photocatalyst and separation process capable of efficiently producing hydrogen peroxide and formic acid, both of which are hydrogen alternative liquid fuels.

 

This research was supported by the National Research Foundation of Korea (Grant No. 2023R1A2C1003464, 2021R1A6A1A03038785, and RS-2023-00240726). The findings were published online in the scientific journal Applied Catalysis B: Environmental on May 31, 2024.
