Professor Young-hoon Kim (Chemical Engineering) of Kwangwoon University Receives Minister of Environment Commendation

- Awarded at the 10th Anniversary Ceremony of the Chemical Safety Research Institute -

Professor Young-hoon Kim (Chemical Engineering) of Kwangwoon University received the Minister of Environment Commendation at the 10th-anniversary ceremony of the Chemical Safety Research Institute (hereafter referred to as "The Institute") held on May 30.

The event, themed "The Institute's 10th Anniversary and the Future," took place at the Institute located in Osong, Cheongju, Chungbuk. Professor Kim was honored with the award for his contributions to chemical accident prevention and safety management as a member of the Chemical Information Disclosure Review Committee.

Since March 2022, Professor Kim has been serving as a civilian member of the Chemical Information Disclosure Review Committee, where he scrutinizes the disclosure of chemical information by companies to ensure the prevention of chemical accidents and the management of safety during the handling and use of chemical products. Additionally, he is actively involved as an expert in chemical safety management within the Ministry of Environment's affiliated organizations, serving as a specialist for the Biocidal Products Re-evaluation Committee (2022.02 - 2025.02), a review member of the Compensation Review Committee (2020.03 - 2026.03), and a working member of the Integrated Environmental Management Technical Working Group (2016.02 - 2026.03).

Professor Young-hoon Kim received the commendation at the 10th-anniversary ceremony of the Institute held on May 30.
