The
Woonkyung Scholarship Foundation (Chairman Jeong-beom Yu), established by
alumni of the Advanced Management Program of Graduate School of Business
Administration at Kwangwoon University, held the 48th Woonkyung Scholarship
Award Ceremony on May 23rd in Room 310 of the 80th Anniversary building,
awarding 14 million won in scholarships to 17 undergraduate and graduate
students.
Since its establishment
in February 1998, the Woonkyung Scholarship Foundation has awarded 656.8
million won in scholarships to 711 students over 48 times, firmly establishing
itself as a leading alumni scholarship foundation dedicated to supporting
students.
Meanwhile,
on the same day, Jeong-beom Yu, chairman of Woonkyung Scholarship Foundation, was
awarded the Order of Civil Merit, Magnolia Medal at a ceremony held at the
Government Complex Sejong to commemorate the 31st Disaster Prevention Day.
Chairman Yu, who also serves as the head of the Korea Energy Management
Association, was recognized for his volunteer work in inspecting heating
facilities and boilers in flooded houses, as well as conducting safety checks
on briquette and oil boilers for vulnerable people during the winter.
