Undergraduate Admission Guide for International Students for the Second Semester of 2024
The International Affairs Team is pleased to
announce the admission of undergraduate international freshmen and transfer
students for the second semester of the 2024 academic year as follows.
1. Eligibility

consulate in the relevant country.

ㅇ Document Screening & Korean language proficiency test ㅇ The written exam tests Korean
language proficiency (TOPIK level 3). Students who have TOPIK level 3 or
higher or who have completed Level 4 (Intermediate 2) or higher of the Korean
language course at the university are exempted from the written test. ㅇ Those who fail the written
exam can be admitted conditionally if they wish |

ㅇ Conditionally admitted
applicants must take Korean language courses offered by Kwangwoon University. Conditionally admitted
students can start undergraduate courses from the next semester upon
submission of TOPIK level 3 (level 4 for 3rd year transfer students) or
higher or complete
the Intermediate 2 (Advanced 1 for 3rd year transfer students) from Kwangwoon University ㅇ The grace period for
conditional acceptance cannot exceed 2 years ㅇ Applicants who have passed
conditionally cannot change their status of residence to Study Abroad (D-2) ㅇ Admission may be canceled if the applicant is unable to
stay in Korea legally due to the change of visa status or failure to obtain a
visa extension |
* Even if you do not have proficiency in Korean, you
can apply for an undergraduate programs through conditional admission.
6. Selection criteria
A. General criteria
- Those who fail to show
for the written test will be rejected.
- Applicants who do not meet the qualifications for
application will be rejected regardless of their grades, and the admission will
be canceled if found later.
B. Criteria for selection of successful candidates
- A small number of people will be selected only for
those who pass the document screening and written test.
- Among those who pass the written test (including
those who are exempted), a predetermined number of people will be selected in
order of document verification scores, TOPIK score, and the written test score.
- Applicants with insufficient academic performance
will not be selected regardless of the number of applicants.
7. Notes for applicants
A. If the information on the submitted documents is
found to be false or a student obtained admission through other fraudulent
methods, admission will be canceled, and if such facts are discovered after
admission, admission may be canceled even while the student is enrolled in
school.
B. The submitted documents will not be returned to the applicant, and the applicant must prepare the documents required for visa issuance or change separately.
C. Applicants are responsible for any disadvantages incurred by the applicants due to errors in the application form.
D. The contact information listed on the application
form must be available at all times during the selection period, and the
applicant is responsible for any disadvantages that may occur if contact is
lost due to errors or changes in phone numbers and addresses.
E. Among the final successful candidates, those who are
expected to graduate or to complete their
studies must submit their graduation or
completion certificate to the Office of International Affairs by July 19, 2024 (Fri).
