Professor Seung-youn
Dho (Ingenium College) has been appointed as the president of the Association
for Korean Cultural Studies for the 2024-2025 term. The Association for Korean
Cultural Studies was founded in 1995 based on the question of the identity
issues surrounding Korean ethnic culture, and has been operating faithfully by
publishing four registered journals every year, considering the main principles
of the humanities, including classical and modern literature, as well as Korean
philosophy and Korean studies, under the specific terrain of Korean culture..
Recently, it has been striving to visualize, integrate, and grow the potential
of Korean cultural identity, aiming to expand its thematic scope from the
scholarly foundation of Korean studies to cultural theory, cultural policy.
Professor Seung-youn Dho has previously served as the president of the Korea Society Internet Ethics and is currently active in various roles, including director of the Korea Student Aid Foundation, management evaluation committee member of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Korea Communications Commission) verification committee member of Institute for Voluntary Data Disclosure on Internet Newspapers, , Korean Council for University Education), planning and consulting committee member of the Korea National Institute for General Education , and vice president of the Pan-Korean Philosophical Society.
