The Research team of Professor Seung Hoon Koh presents touch controller technology at the world-renowned semiconductor conference ISSCC 2024
The research team of Professor Seung Hoon Koh (members:
Junmin Lee, Juwon Ham, Hamin Lee, Wooseok Jang) from the Department of
Electronic Materials Engineering presented a paper on the integrated circuit
(IC) technology for touch controllers for flexible displays at the
International Solid-State Circuit Conference (ISSCC) 2024 in San Francisco, USA in February 2024.
The conference, which has been held since 1954, is one of
the top three semiconductor conferences in the world organized by the
International Solid-State Circuit Society. It is recognized as the world’s most
prestigious event in the field of semiconductor integrated circuit systems and
is often referred to as the 'Olympics of Semiconductor Circuits,' attracting Global
semiconductor companies such as Samsung, SK Hynix, Intel, TSMC, and over 3,000
scholars and researchers participate in this event.
The research by the team of Professor Seung Hoon Koh focused
on the technology driving touch screen panels for small flexible displays,
emphasizing low noise and power efficiency. This research has the potential to
enhance the performance and user experience of flexible displays.
In total, 49 papers from Korea were accepted at the conference, and Professor Seung Hoon Koh 's team was presented in the IMMD (Imagers, MEMS, and Displays) session.
