Recruitment of International Students for Public Dormitory (Bitsoljae) for First Semester of 2024 Academic Year

1. Eligibility

A. International freshmen and transfer students,  international undergraduates, exchange students, language students, and international graduate students who are enrolled in Kwangwoon University for  the 1st semester of 2024 academic year.

 

B. Exclusion Criteria

1) Those who have received a disciplinary action of suspension or higher under Kwangwoon University’s academic regulations

2) Those who have received a disciplinary action of forced discharge from the residence hall (dormitory)

3) Those who have withdrawn or are planning to take a semester off (However, returning students can apply for a dormitory)

4) Severe snoring, contagious diseases, and carriers (Pulmonary Tuberculosis, etc.)

5) Those who submitted supporting documents  that are different from the application information.

6) Those who fail to comply with the dormitory regulations and rules, and those who do not agree to the conditions of recruitment in the dormitory.

7) Others who are deemed inappropriate by the dormitory director

Korean students will be selected separately by the dormitory management team.

4. Dormitory amenities

A. Private facilities: Bed, bookshelf, desk, chair, closet, toilet, shower room, internet, etc.

B. Public facilities: Laundry room, ironing room, fitness room, seminar room, unattended courier locker, shared kitchen, parking lot, etc.

C. Personal preparations: Bedding, personal necessities such as toiletries.

  Visit dormitory management team

  Application submission (Not allowed to enter without submission) 

  Confirmation of payment 

  Receive dormitory access card and move in  Fill out the equipment checklist for each individual and submit it to dormitory management team 

  Attend orientation (required) 

  Students who want to move in after April 1st due to problems with airline tickets, etc, must notify the Office of International Affairs (m951158w@naver.com) in advance. 

 Only authorized students can move in after April 1st

7. Regarding move-in cancellation

A. After April 1st, students who have not moved in the dormitory without permission : During the period of enrollment, dormitory entry is prohibited.

B. In case of cancellation after applying for dormitory,

 - If the successful applicants notify us of the cancellation of dormitory after the entry date: They are deemed to have lived in the dormitory since February 14 and must pay the dormitory fee according to the refund policy. (Example: If you cancel your move-in on February 22, you will have to pay the 8-day residence fee penalty.)

 

8. Documents to be submitted

 Required documents before dormitory move-in: Pulmonary tuberculosis test (Chest X-Ray)

A. Submission period: 2024.01.18 (Thu) ~ 2020.02.02 (Fri) until 2PM (Only check-ups after 2023.12.16 is accepted)

B. How to submit: Submission through email - m951158w@naver.com, Email subject ? Student no., Student name (20230203_김광운)

Move-in will be cancelled   if not submitted within the deadline,

 Students who have submitted a pulmonary tuberculosis test certificate and have been approved to move in are allowed to enter the dormitory from February 14 (Tue)

 Students who have already moved in for the 2nd semester of 2023 must submit the application again

 

9. Notes

A. The dormitory fees do not include meals.

B. Selection is based on internal selection criteria, and may not be selected after application.

C. Room rearrangement may be made to save energy and utilize vacant rooms .

D. Applicants must accurately fill out personal information  (student number, contact information, date of birth, e-mail, major, etc.) to apply for a dormitory  

E. Disadvantages may occur if you cancel your move-in without permission after selection.
