The
research team of Professor Jae-Young Park (Department of Electronic
Engineering) at Kwangwoon University has successfully developed core-shell
nano-porous carbon (CS-NPC) and multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) based
nanocomposite (CS-NPC@MWCNT) with excellent electric, mechanical, and chemical
properties and a multi-sensor patch capable of simultaneous monitoring of sweat
sodium, potassium, calcium, and pH levels in real time.
The
study was funded by the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy's Industrial
Technology Innovation Program (RS-2022-00154983, Development of a
Self-Sustaining Power Sensor Platform for Low-Power Sensors and Actuators) and
Kwangwoon University’s Outstanding Researcher Support Program in 2022. The
findings were published in Chemical Engineering Journal (Impact Factor: 15.1), one
of the world's top-tier journals in the field of chemical engineering published
by Elsevier., Link: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1385894723045679
