KW-IPP Joint Training Center at Kwangwoon University Selected as an Excellent University (Grade A)

Kwangwoon
University's KW-IPP Joint Training Center has been finally selected as an
excellent university (Grade A) in the "Performance Evaluation of IPP-type
Work-Learning Combination Joint Training Center in 2022", organized by the
Training Performance Evaluation Division of the Human Resources Development
Service of Korea on August 31st.
This
performance evaluation was conducted as an integrated assessment of work-learning
combination and long-term on-site training (linked training). In 2022, 16
companies and 32 students participated in the university's IPP-type work-learning
combination program had, and 36 companies and 80 students participated in
long-term on-site training (linked training). Particularly, among the
performance evaluation items, Kwangwoon University received perfect scores in
"learning worker goal achievement rate, training retention rate,
participation rate of new and excellent learning companies, and work-learning
combination participation" and received high scores in "employment
retention rate and employment rate of learning companies."
The
head of the project, Park Se-kyu, stated, "The selection as an excellent
university this time seems to be the result of our dedicated efforts in the
qualitative management of companies and students who participated in training
and practices, even in the difficult circumstances caused by the prolonged
COVID-19 situation. As an excellent university, we will make even greater
efforts to help students explore their career paths and employment
prospects."
This
year, 28 companies and 49 learning workers are participating in IPP-type
work-learning combination program in a total of six fields, including
semiconductor equipment development, software development, electronic device
hardware development, display development, marketing strategy planning, and
advertising and promotion.
The
IPP-type work-learning combination program is a model project of industry-academia
cooperation organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and implemented
by the Human
Resources Development Service of Korea. It is a program, in coordination
with the National Competency Standards (NCS), to foster practical professionals
equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
