Kwangwoon
University's Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation (Head, Jeong Young Wook)
signed a cooperation agreement with the Small and Medium Business Promotion
Agency's Youth Entrepreneurship Academy (Principal, Kim Geun Young) last month
to discover and foster promising entrepreneurs in the eastern Seoul
metropolitan area.
The
Guri-city Youth Entrepreneurship Support Center, which is entrusted and
operated by Kwangwoon University's Industry-Academic Cooperation
Foundation has jointly operated a
program called "Entrepreneurship Lab" since
November last year with the Youth Entrepreneurship Academy to refine and
develop startup items. Through this collaboration, they have successfully
admitted three teams, HelpRo (Kim Jae Sung), Shell Corporation (Yoo Eun Jin),
and Mental Coaching Media (Kim Byung Jun), in the "2023 Startup Success
Package Youth Entrepreneurship Academy Admission," achieving the shared
goal of discovering and fostering promising young entrepreneurs.
The
Youth Entrepreneurship Academy is an institution that supports and educates
young entrepreneurs, providing opportunities for young individuals interested
in entrepreneurship to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge needed to
start a business and gain practical experience. They offer various forms of
support for entrepreneurship, including up to KRW 100 million per year in
financial support, entrepreneurship infrastructure, and technical guidance.
“Through the close cooperation between the two organizations
to discover and support the growth of promising young entrepreneurs in the
eastern part of the metropolitan area, we hope to realize the goal of promoting
the social entry and economic activities of young people and developing the
local economy” said Jeong Young Wook, Head of the
Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation.
Meanwhile,
the Guri-city Youth Entrepreneurship Support Center plans to continue its joint
efforts with the Youth Entrepreneurship Academy to promote “Entrepreneurship Lab
“in the second half of 2023, aiming to be selected for government-supported
entrepreneurship projects in 2024.
