Kwangwoon University Startup Club 'Ceremony' Takes Charge of Marketing for Gongneung-dong Traditional Market
The startup club "Ceremony Team" of Kwangwoon University
has taken charge of planning and operating the Goblin Market Creator (referred
to as "Goblin Team") project in collaboration with the Cultural
Tourism Market Development Unit of the Gongneung-dong Goblin Market during the
summer of 2023. The "Goblin Team" project has been running for three
months since June. Its ultimate goal is to create content promoting the Goblin
Market, which is a representative traditional market in Gongneung-dong, and to
develop a marketing plan using the "Buldokkaebi Sauce," a planned
private label (PB) product. Additionally, various programs will be implemented
to enhance the skills of the creators and activate the community among the
Goblin Team members.
Through this project, we anticipate that the Gongneung-dong
Goblin Market will become even more vibrant with the creative ideas and
positive energy of the young creators.
The Ceremony Team believes that traditional markets can be
representative spaces where various cultural content can come together. We aim
to break people's stereotypes about traditional markets. By igniting a small
spark through our activities, we hope that traditional markets will continue to
thrive among the younger generation. We will strive to communicate with young
people, each with their own unique local colors, and work together with
merchant associations and market project teams across the country.
On the other hand, "Ceremony," the startup club of Kwangwoon University, is a business club in the Department of Business Administration that was established in 2021 with a focus on marketing and branding. We launched a clothing brand and have been collaborating with local governments and schools to plan and produce various events and merchandise. Our notable achievements include creating goods featuring Wagguri, the official mascot of Guri City, and Kwangwoon University merchandise. Since the second half of 2022, we have been actively engaged in designing logos and characters for local government branding, producing online and offline marketing content, planning and operating local events, and managing supporters as part of our outsourced projects and self-brand operations.
