University Robot Game Team ‘RO:BIT’ won first place in the ‘Humanoid Soccer
League KidSize (University Division)’ category at the Robocup Korea Open 2023
last month.
‘Humanoid Soccer League’ is a
competition in which four robots form a team and use a vision system to
recognize the ball, various obstacles, and goalposts, and score goals with
artificial intelligence autonomous drive.
“I am happy to win the Korea RoboCup
Open for 5 consecutive years, and I want to tell the team members that they
worked hard to prepare for the tournament in a difficult situation,” said Junho
Koh, a student of the Robot Game Team who participated in the competition. “I
would like to express my gratitude to Kwangwoon University and Professor Park
Gwang-hyun for their unsparing support, along with the promise that Robit can
go beyond Korea to the world.”, he said.
RO:BIT, a robot game team at Kwangwoon University, is focusing on research and development to participate in the RoboCup 2023 World Competition to be held in Bordeaux, France from July 4th (Tuesday) following the achievements of the domestic competition.
