Prof. Lee Sang-min’s Research Team Won the Encouragement Prize at Korea Logistics Science & Technology Association Fall Joint Conference
Professor Lee Sang-min’s (Department of Information Convergence) research team (graduate students No Yu-jin & Lee Yu-jin of Department of Artificial Intelligence) won the prize at ‘2022 Logistics Thesis Contest‘ held from July to October hosted by the Korea Logistics Science and Technology Association. The award ceremony was held jointly with the ‘Korea Society of Logistics Science and Technology, Korea Logistics Society and Korea SCM Society Autumn Joint Conference’ on October 1st.
Students No Yu-jin & Lee Yu-jin presented a CNN-based
pedestrian detection and crossing prediction system near crosswalks. This study
is expected to be the foundation technology for pedestrian safety systems
through artificial intelligence and computer vision at right turns at
intersections where it is difficult to determine the starting point due to
difficulties in predicting blind spots and pedestrians crossing.
Meanwhile, at this academic conference, papers dealing with life logistics and urban logistics, innovative high-tech logistics technology, cold chain, logistics automation, and unmanned logistics technology policies were presented.
