Successful Completion of 2022 1st Gangbuk Youth Entrepreneurship Maru Achievement Sharing Event

The Gangbuk Youth Startup Maru, which is operated by the Industrial-Academic Cooperation Group, held the first performance sharing session on December 22nd (Thursday) with about 50 participants from the Gangbuk Youth Startup Maru program, including Jongheon, President of Kwangwoon University & Lee Sun-hee, head of Gangbuk-gu Office.
Gangbuk Youth Entrepreneurship Maru is a place that embraces the
Seoul Youth Center Gangbuk Orang and the Gangbuk Entrepreneurship Support
Center. It opened on April 5, 2022 and has been in business for 9 months. For 9
months, a total of 626 users of the center program (376 users for the youth
center and 250 users for the start-up center), and the combined number of
community space users and rental users reached 2,559 in total.
In the first part, starting with the welcoming speech of
President Jongheon, followed by greetings from Gangbuk-gu Office Manager Lee
Sun-hee and Gangbuk-gu Youth Network Steering Committee, there was an opening
ceremony and a 9-month-long activity video viewing of Seoul Youth Center Gangbuk
Orang and Gangbuk Startup Support Center.
In the second part, an overview of the Gangbuk Youth
Entrepreneurship Floor, a report on the performance of the Orang Center in
Gangbuk, and a report on the performance of the Gangbuk Startup Support Center
were followed. Gangbuk Orang carried out a total of 11 detailed projects
dealing with comprehensive counseling and resource
linkage; aggregation and provision of youth support
information; community support program; promotion
operation of youth space; region-specific programs. The
Gangbuk Startup Support Center carried out a total of 12 detailed projects
dealing with; support for those wishing to start a
business; (pre)founder support; support
for resident/graduating companies; startup network.
Lastly, there was a certificate of appreciation awarded to the two young people who worked hard for the Gangbuk Orang Center and the Center Director's Commendation Award to the two Gangbuk Startup Support Centers.
President Jongheon Kim said, “In 2023, high prices, high exchange rates, and high interest rates, the so called three-high crisis awaits, so it is expected that young people and entrepreneurs who have just stepped into society will have difficulties. Kwangwoon University and Gangbuk Youth Entrepreneurship Maru will constantly think about and carry out social services for them from the perspective of consumers.” He also conveyed a message, “In the new year of 2023 (The Year of the Rabbit), I hope that all the wishes of young people and entrepreneurs in Gangbuk-gu come true.”
