Professor Jinyoung Kim of
Kwangwoon University (Department of Electronic Convergence Engineering) participated
in the 2022 Seoul Regional Association of Industry-Academia-Research Institute
Excellence Project (Host: Seoul Association of Industry-Academy-Research Institute,
Sponsor: Seoul Regional SMEs and Startups Office, Seoul Metropolitan City). He successfully
carried out an industry-university-research cooperation technology development
project for which he was awarded the “Seoul Regional SMEs and Startups Office”
award on November 25th in recognition of contributions to regional
technological innovation and industrial development.
Since 1998, Professor Kim Jin-young has been
devoted to wired and wireless communication systems. After being appointed to
Kwangwoon University in 2001, he participated in industry-university
cooperation R&D in various fields such as wired and wireless communication
systems and IT convergence systems as a project manager, contributing to
domestic and international sales growth. He derived achievements such as
technical guidance, various papers, patents, and software copyrights. In
addition, he has been recognized for his contribution to the development of
industrial-educational cooperation through the development of SME technology,
market formation of related products, and establishment and activation of an industry-university-research
cooperation network based on technology transfer performance. He was awarded
the Seoul Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Commissioner Award.
The Industry-University-Research Cooperation Technology Development Project, supported by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and managed by the Small and Medium Business Industry-Academic Cooperation Center of Kwangwoon University (Center Director: Professor Seo Young-ho, Department of Electronic Materials Engineering), has participated in the project since 1999 and has completed more than 350 tasks. The 2022 project is currently carrying out 8 tasks.
