Kwangwoon
Academy Chairman Chosun-young participated in the #ENDViolence campaign with
five affiliated schools.
The
ENDViolence Challenge is a global campaign between the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs and UNICEF to raise interest in protecting children in situations of
violence. It is spreading centering on Korean embassies, foreign officials,
celebrities, lawmakers, and members of the State Council.
The campaign, launched by the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs on July 27, is a method of posting on social media including a
photo taken with the campaign logo, a message to eradicate violence against
children, the next participant, and essential hashtags. As the next participant
in the #ENDViolence Challenge, Mirae Asset Securities Chairman Choi Hyun-man
has named Kwangwoon Academy Chairman Cho Seon-young.
Chosun Young, president of Kwangwoon
University, Lee Sang-jong, principal of Kwangwoon Artificial Intelligence High
School, Lee Joo-won, president of the student body, Kwangwoon Middle School’s
principal Jeong Ji-man and Park Geun-woo, vice president of student council,
Lee Eum-pyo, Namdaemun Middle School’s principal and Lee Jun-hwa, student council
president, Ahn Byeong-hee, principal of Kwangwoon Elementary School, and Moon
Hae-rin, president of all children all shared the campaign content and joined
the #ENDViolence support campaign.
Chairman
Cho Seon-young said, “Our children must be protected from violence so that they
can move forward into a healthy and happy future. Kwangwoon Academy will work
with its affiliated organizations to work harder on education to ensure safe
growth in a violent world,” he said.
In addition, a video was produced
and delivered to affiliated schools so that the #ENDViolence campaign could be
delivered to many students, faculty, and parents.
