Received the "Academic Award",
the Most Prestigious KIChE Award

Professor Young-Hoon Kim
(Department of Chemical Engineering) of Kwangwoon University was awarded the ‘Academic
Award’, the most prestigious award of the Society, at the KIChE*
2022 Fall Conference. He was recognized for his contribution to the academic
development of domestic chemical engineering by publishing several excellent
academic papers in the Korean and English journals of the KIChE and was awarded
plaques and prize money.
Founded
in 1962, KIChE has a deep tradition to celebrate its 60th anniversary this year
and has grown into a leading academic organization in Korea with over 8,000
members. It is expected to serve as a faithful bridge between Korea and the
world in the field of chemical engineering. KIChE publishes the Korean and
English academic journals “Korean Chemical Engineering Research” and “Korean
Journal of Chemical Engineering” as monthly magazines.
Professor
Young-Hoon Kim, who won the academic award, has published 260 SCI papers so far
and has 53 Google Scholar h-index and 11,604 citations. Based on this, in 2021,
Elsevier and Stanford University selected him as one of the world's
Top-Scientists 2%. Professor Young-Hoon Kim said, "We were able to receive
the award thanks to the constant efforts and honest research of the students with
who I worked together."
