2022 Kwangwoon University Campus Town Festival

Kwangwoon University Campus Town Project Group (Director Park Tae-won) announced that the “2022 Kwangwoon University Campus Town Festival (Festival & Flea Market)” was successfully completed in September. It was hosted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and Nowon-gu and co-hosted by the Association of Clubs. This festival was not only a campus town and school festival, but a festival celebrated together with residents.

The Campus Town Festival (festival & flea market) was to support and nurture a startup culture, as well as to promote regional revitalization through cooperation between universities, residents, and merchants. The Campus Town Festival had invited performance teams, had “try-it” booths, flea market booths, and busking. They were selected through collaboration with residents in Wolgye 1-dong, Kwangwoon University, and the public competition team discovered through the campus town residents’ contest project. Main performances were held in the open-air theater. The Campus Town project group provided opportunities to try ICT technologies such as robots and drones that are unique to Kwangwoon University. The event was planned to promote cooperation with the campus town, students, and the local community.

Park Tae-won, head of the Campus Town Project Group, said, “The Kwangwoon University Campus Town Festival is a venue for festivals where companies, current students, and local residents of the campus town project come together. We will spare no effort to support it so that it can become a true regional festival in the future.”
