'Cosignon Co., Ltd.-Kwangwoon University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation-Corelink, Inc.' Concluded an Industry-University Cooperation Agreement
to Promote Cooperation Such as Technology
Sharing in the Semiconductor Field and Training of Professionals
Kwangwoon University
Industry-University Cooperation Foundation (CEO Park Cheol-hwan) and Cosignon
(CEO Park Seong-ho) announced on the 18th that they had signed an MOU to
promote cooperation such as technology sharing in the semiconductor field and
training of professional talents.
Through this agreement, the two
institutions will ▲share technology in the semiconductor
field and promote mutual cooperation ▲joint development of
advanced technology R&D to respond to the 4th industrial revolution ▲share leading industry-academic cooperation models and
industry-academic education programs ▲operate domestic and
foreign system semiconductor internship programs ▲etc. The
two institutions will cooperate with each other on matters related to industry-university
cooperation.
Cosignon Co., Ltd. is a 3rd year
startup established in December 2019, and has realized commercialization by
securing the core technology of memory control and operation, which is the core
technology of system semiconductors that were highly dependent on foreign
countries. CoreLink Inc. is a cooperative corporation established in Silicon
Valley, USA in February 2022, and is promoting technology development in the US
and global commercialization. These companies are next-generation system
semiconductor companies that design, develop, and sell IP and chipsets in the
fields of Memory Controller, Deep Learning Processor, Memory Sub System, and
PHY, and are growing rapidly by more than 200% every year.
The signing ceremony held at Kwangwoon University
Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation was attended by Park Cheol-hwan, head
of industry-academic cooperation, Seo Young-ho, vice president of
industry-academic cooperation, Jang Su-woong, industry-academic business team
leader, Park Seong-ho, CEO of Cosignon, Park Jang-ho, vice president, and Park
Hyun-jin, vice president.
Park Cheol-hwan, head of the Industry-University Cooperation
Group, said, “I sincerely wish for the success of the startup of CEO Park
Seong-ho (Electronic Materials 96), who played an active role as a key expert
in the design of promising system semiconductors in large corporations such as
LG Electronics and Qualcomm headquarters in the United States. We will do our
best to share technology in the semiconductor field and provide various
opportunities to our students through industry-university cooperation with
Cosignon Co., Ltd./CoreLink, Inc.”.
