Professor Seung Yeon Do was Inaugurated as President of the Korea Society of Internet Ethics
Professor Seung Yeon Do (Ingenium College of Liberal Arts) was inaugurated as the 8th president of the Korean Internet Ethics Society in 2022-2023.
The Korea Society of Internet Ethics was founded
in 2011 to raise public awareness of the healthy use of the Internet and
Internet ethics. Along with the Korea Communications Commission, it has been
educating people in the fields of law, engineering, administration, and media. As
the Internet is gradually converging with the discourses of humanities and pedagogy,
it expands its scope to a digital society including artificial intelligence and
metaverse. Hence, the discussion of 'ethics' is developing as an
interdisciplinary society embodied in digital citizenship. Recently, the Korea
Society of Internet Ethics is actively working as a participant in the “Meta
Era Digital Civil Society Growth Strategy Promotion Group” hosted by the Korea
Communications Commission.
Professor Do was a member of the National Research Foundation's financial support project for university support, evaluation and consulting member of the Humanities Group, an evaluation member of the Korea Educational Development Institute's university basic competency diagnosis, and the head of the school admissions office and the head of the Teaching and Learning Center. Currently, professor Do is a liberal arts education consultant at the Liberal Arts Basic Education Institute affiliated with the Korean Council for University Education and the vice president of the Korean Philosophical Society.
