2022 Spring - Dormitory Recruitment for International Student

1. Eligibility

A. Kwangwoon University 2022 spring semester international freshmen and transfer students and enrolled undergraduate, exchange, transfer, language, and graduate international students.

B. Restricted students:

            1) Those who have been suspended for disciplinary punishment by Kwangwoon University

2) Those who have been forcibly suspended from the dormitory

3) Those who withdraw for a semester or are planning to take a semester off (students who return to the school can apply for the jobs.)

4) Severe snoring, infectious disease, and carriers (Pulmonary Tuberculosis, etc.)   

5) Those who submit the false documents

6) Those who fail to comply with the rules of operation and living standards of dorms, and those who fails to comply with the conditions of recruitment in the dormitory 

7) Others who are deemed inappropriate by the dormitory director

 

 Korean students will be selected separately by the dormitory management team.

4. Dormitory amenities

A. Private facilities: Bed, bookshelf, desk, chair, closet, toilet, shower room, internet, etc.

B. Public facilities: Laundry room, ironing room, fitness room, seminar room, unattended courier locker, communal room, parking lot, etc.

C. Personal preparations: Bedding, personal necessities such as toiletries

 Entry process

 ◎ Entry date can be selected when applying

 ◎ Confirmation of payment

 ◎ Receive dormitory card

 ◎ Fill out the equipment checklist for each individual and submit it to dormitory team

 ◎ Attend orientation (required)

 Students who want to move in after April 1st due to problems with air tickets, etc., must notify the Office of International Affairs (topug1205@kw.ac.kr) in advance.

 Only approved students can move in after April 1st

7. Regarding move-in cancellation

A. After April 1st, Unauthorized Entry Control: During the period of enrollment, dormitory entry is prohibited.

B. If you want to cancel dormitory after applying,

- If successful applicants notify the cancellation of dormitory after the entry date: They are deemed to have lived in the dormitory since February 15 and must pay the dormitory fee according to the refund policy.

(Example: If you cancel your move-in on February 23, you will have to pay the 8-day residence fee penalty.)

 

8. Required documents

Required documents during entry: Pulmonary tuberculosis test (Chest X-Ray)

A. Submission period: 2022/01/19 (Wed) ~ 2022/02/11 (Fri) (Only test done after 2021/12/16 is accepted)

B. Submission method: Email - topug1205@naver.com , Email subject- student number, student name (20210203_김광운)

 Verified students who have submitted a pulmonary tuberculosis test certificate are allowed to enter can enter the dormitory from February 15 (Tuesday).

 Students who have already moved in for the fall semester of 2021 must re-submit

 

Documents required on the move-in day

A. Submission method: Submit the required documents to the dormitory management team and receive room access card.

B. COVID-19 PCR test negative confirmation result (Test done within 48 hours of move-in date) (PCR test “negative” result text message and paper certificate)

* Matters related to COVID-19 are subject to change.

 

    

9. Notes

A. The dormitory fees do not include meals.

B. Selection is based on internal selection criteria and may not be made after application.

C. Room rearrangement can be performed for energy saving and room utilization.

D. Application for entry is possible only if the personal information registration (student number, contact information, date of birth, e-mail, major, etc.) is correctly written.

E. You may be penalized for cancelling your move-in without any permission.
