Prof. Kwon Soon-cheol (Smart Convergence Graduate School) awarded with the Korea Industry-Academic Association President’s Award at 2020 Seoul Regional Association Industry-Academic Merit Award Ceremony

Prof. Kwon Soon-cheol (Smart Convergence Graduate School) of Kwangwoon University was awarded the Korea Industry-Academic Association President’s Award at 2020 Seoul Regional Association Industry-Academic Merit Award Ceremony on January 29, 2021 (Host: Seoul Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration, Seoul Metropolitan Government, Supervised by: Industry-Academia-Research Seoul Regional Association, Sponsor: Korea Industry-Academia-Research Association) for his contribution to regional technological innovation and industrial development by successfully carrying out the academic cooperation technology development project.

Prof. Kwon participated in a number of industry-academic cooperation R&D projects in the field of VR/AR/hologram and contributed to the industry by participating in the contract departments (3D contents department (Master), holography 3D contents department (Doctorate)). In particular, he received this award in recognition of his contribution to increase sales by participating in various SME services and industry-university cooperation development.

Meanwhile, the industry-academia-research cooperation technology development project, supported by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and managed by the SME Industry-Academic Cooperation Center (center head: Professor Seo Young-ho of the Department of Electronic Materials Engineering) has participated in the project since 1999 and successfully carried out 330 projects. The fiscal year project is currently carrying out 13 tasks.
